Hello there.

First off I confess that food was not my first love. In fact I was pretty fearful of food as a child. A very patient grandmother helped me find the joy in trying new things and develop an Epicurean approach. Trips to Juniper Green, Edinburgh to buy a particular honey were key!

No fashion was my first love. With it opened up my ideas to how food can capture moments and define memories. Some of those include the carrot cake by the Rose Bakery at the Dover Street Market in London, a Mille-feuille from Maison Bertaux after a spree of Fiorucci in Shop, Brewer St and feeling very at home in Butcher’s Daughter in NY.

With The Golden Bottom Bakery I hope to capture some of the sheer thrill of living adventure and creativity. Enjoy, bye for now. Jx
